What is MITS Discover?
MITS Discover is a powerful Business Intelligence solution that offers advanced
dynamic and interactive data reporting. By design, it takes information in
the company's system and makes it quickly and easily accessible. Using a
simple drill down interface, MITS Discover puts the organization's information at the
user's finger tips.
MITS Discover is the only OLAP Business Intelligence
product specifically designed to run in the
MultiValue or Pick (UniVerse, UniData, jBASE, D3, and mvEnterprise) environment. At a fraction of the cost of non-MultiValue
solutions that offer less functionality and much more complexity, MITS
Discover is intentionally priced and designed to be the most powerful and efficient
solution available for MultiValue users.
How does MITS Discover Work?
MITS Discover offers new reports and modifications to views in just a matter of
seconds. MITS Discover is able to do this by extracting the data from the source
system and then placing the information into a designed OLAP file structure
using the MultiValue file system (known as a Hypercube). To provide
fast, interactive responses, MitsServer prepares information before the
user runs MITS Discover. This is called transforming (or building) a Hypercube. The
Hypercube build is usually scheduled to have MITS Discover perform the
transformation work when system resources are more available. MITS Hypercube
transformations may also be set to run in an ongoing / near real-time basis.
Viewing the Hypercube is then possible by the MitsServer interacting with
the MITS clients (MitsView or a browser window through MitsWeb). At that
point, a company's information may be viewed through the MITS clients.
Through MITS Discover you can gain valuable information in seconds that could take
hours with other solutions.
Is MITS Discover Difficult to Use?
MITS Discover is very easy to use and requires very little training. In addition,
knowledge of the underlying database is not necessary to use MITS Discover. Users of
the MITS Discover tool may focus their efforts on researching data quickly rather
than trying to figure out how to run a program.
